OnStreet: Selda Karabag

Got to admit I feel a little bit bad about it, but now that I can take extra care of the blog, it's time to to do some catching up with you. I'm gonna post some of the cool people that we met the past month, but I never got around to share with you....

Here's the first: Selda Karabag, the leading lady of hairdresser's chain "de Cliént".  There is a "Cliént" situated near us on the Nationalestraat in Antwerp. This makes it possible for Selda to hop into our store in between working hours and search for great vintage finds during her shopping break. When we met her, she just purchased the DIOR envelope that matched the beautiful DIOR bag she bought at our store the day before. Great bag for a great lady I must say. Thanks Selda and see you On(Nationale)Street!

OnStreet: Tiany Kiriloff

We went to Antwerp and look who we ran into: Tiany Kiriloff. The Belgian readers probably know Tiany already, as she used to host a fashionshow on Belgian tv and writes her own fashion blog: www.belmodo.tv.
She loves shopping in Antwerp and is frequently spotted at our Antwerp store. Our trip really once again gave us no option other than to totally agree with Tiany: Antwerp is the shopping place to be!

InStore: Club Manhattan latest arrivals

Here is our top model showing you the latest Club Manhattan goodies available in our stores. If they ever become available barbie-size, I'm pretty sure she would be super excited to wear them herself. These are just a few examples, if you want to see them all (life size;-) come and check them out at one of our stores near you.

OnStreet: Lizzy

As we are getting ready for our trip to Antwerp this weekend, I always like to get in the mood with some inspirational images. Then I found these pics of Lizzy, in which all ingredients for an awesome Flemish Whit-Sunday seem to be combined: Great weather, equally great summer maxi dress and shades, whimsical unicorn necklace and to top it off, the ultimate Belgian ingredient: fries! Lizzy is from Rotterdam and she is really fond of flea markets. She does not mind traveling a bit to find nice stuff for a bargain. We spotted her right when she was taking a break with her friends to munch on a well-deserved 'authentic' flea market lunch. She sure knows how to look good with food! Thank you Lizzy. Hope you will have a great long weekend with lots of shopping fun.

OnStreet: Pleat till you Bleed inspired by Anne & Julie

We get inspired by lots of stuff everyday, but in the end one of our great sources of inspiration is all of you fashion people, the stylish girls we meet on the street, in our store and on our blog. Here's one small example: a little while ago, we met Anne and Julie. Anne just moved to Antwerp because she likes the city just as much as we do and Julie is from New York City, another city we totally adore. Julie came to visit and together they were not only having a great time, they also looked great together! Enough reason for us to get our pleated skirts out and show them off. These are currently for sale at our Antwerp store, but I'm quite sure we have others available in Amsterdam, Haarlem and Heemstede. The beige skirt is €45,- and the purple €25,-.

InWindow: Post- It -girls

A new section on our blog began today, a shop window section.
For everyone who likes our fine mix of vintage & new and can't see it by passing every day or week or month or even year (if you live in a country far far far away from one of our shops) and is curious about what we are showing off in the shop windows!
Here is our first, a try-out... Hope you like it.
In Antwerp we made a color-block window and we thought of all the students who are now busy learning and memorizing everything they've seen this year.

OnStreet: Amanda Pinatih

Here's Amanda from Amsterdam. We found her shopping in Antwerp to find a nice gift for her friend. She's into contemporary art and taxidermy. I can't help but wonder about the collection of cool animals she might have at home: the ones you don't have to take for a walk or feed and always look good, just like Amanda herself.
