InStore: Glamorous and Glossy - vintage magazines

Every now and then we get our hands on these sought after vintage fashion magazines from the '80-ies. We love them, it's just too bad that they are so hard to find. Since we heard there's many of you who either collect them or use them as source of endless inspiration, we now made them available for you in our Antwerp store. The numbers are small and the prices are well below the prices we see pass by on E-bay (up to around €100,- per magazine!). Currently we have 5 super cool British VOGUES (€ 20,-) which include 2 September issues of 1983 and 1989. On top, we have 7 French GLAMOUR magazines (€ 15,-), the exact issues you can find in the pics below. And don't forget to keep your own current collection of 2010-11 issues, you might long for them 30 years from now!

OnStreet: Maisie & Cynthia

Spring is on, the sun is shining (finally!) and the most beautiful birds make their appearance on the Antwerp streets. Luckily we have staff with a sharp eye and a quick camera, to capture some of them when lit by the fragile sunlight. The gorgeous redhead is from New Castle, her name is Maisie Pearson. She likes to play the guitar and loves shopping in Antwerp with her dad. The beautiful blond girl is from Cologne, Germany, her name is Cynthia. We love this international flavor, thanks girls for traveling around and sharing your splendid style with us!

Onstreet: Zhike's globetrotter boots

These are no seven mile boots, no magical footwear known from folk tales or anything like that. These boots are made for walking and that's just what they do. And one of these days, these boots were walking straight into our store. Wearing these cute boots instantly turn you into a cosmopolitan flaneur with the world as the street. We could not help but notice that they did not have the streets of Antwerp on them and since Zhike - the girl wearing them- is not from Antwerp, she must have had some other kind of navigation that lead her the way to our store: female intuition? And let's not forget about her local friend who invited her over...

OnStreet: meet Leonoor

Amsterdam has a lovely new colleague and she was kind enough to have her picture taken. It's striking how we always end up in the store even when we are not scheduled to work... Same thing happened when I ran into Leonoor. On her day off she finally had some time to enjoy this comfy seat flipping trough the pages of these vintage Playboy magazines and looking cute at it! Just make sure there won't develop a whole cue of bored boyfriends waiting for this nice seat while their lady is satisfying her fashion hunger ;-)
