InTown: Affordable Marni - we were there
Well we were not ALL there, but some of us could withstand the complete hysteria going on at the launch of the Marni for H&M sale today. We love Marni and we try to make great designer clothing and accessories more affordable for all, so we are always super exited when H&M launches a new designer collection. Our brave colleagues made a small photo report this morning (see below) and they will soon return on the blog to give you a little more extensive report on their buys and the whole experience.

InTern: meet Elisabeth
My name is Elisabeth and I'm one of the new interns at JUTKA & RISKA. I'm a second year student at the ROC Mondriaan in the Hague, studying fashion and clothing. I hope to learn a lot more about styling at JUTKA & RISKA. I made the bag in the picture for the Out of Space collection. It is for sale at the Amsterdam shop (Bilderdijkstraat 194).
- Love Elisabeth

InStore(s): ROPAROSA has arrived
As you could already have spotted in yesterdays InWindow post and on our facebook, ROPAROSA items are in tha house! YEEEEHAAAA! It's always such a long wait since ordering and then it is like kind of a surprise all over again: we picked the items ourselves ofcourse, but they even look better in real life than in the pics below...
If you start drooling, here's what we got:
The darkblue dress in the first pic we also got in shiny baby pink as could be seen in the previous InWindow post Amsterdam.
The second pic, we got the green dress with leather shoulder straps and rusty red detail.
Third pic: We sell the jumpsuit in green with a a rusty red detail at the bottom of the trouser legs.
We also sell the jeans-bra with leather straps (!).
From the forth picture we chose to sell the shorts (not the top).
And the last pic we have in this shade of pink, but also in dark blue with rusty red and see-through details on the shoulders. The materials are beautiful, the details are precious and the fit is soooooo feminine. WE LOVE ROPAROSA! Which one is your favorite?

InWindow: Amsterdam hidden in construction
Because of the ongoing contruction work on the Bilderdijkstraat in Amsterdam, it is hard to see anything other then sand and fences when you look at our store. So here's a close up ;-)
We cannot wait for the road to be finished, so you can all just reach us a little more easily.

InSpire: Customize me!
After seeing all of the remix fun at the Shanzai mash-up, we felt like sharing some of the customizing we have been up to lately. Some of the items are still available in our stores, others have already been sold. But we hope we can give you a litttle bit of inspiration to just give it a go yourself. It is so rewarding to turn your old items (or even misfits) into your new favorite outfit... And you are helping the environment at the same time!
InTown: @ Shanzai mash-up
Shanzai mash-up: a workshop night by Trash & Treasures and Waag Society (hosted in Fablab Amsterdam). Since we were not able to go and participate ourselves, we asked our intern Hannah to check out the Shanzai mash up and to take loads of pics. It turned out to be a DIY-night extraordinaire... transform any old piece of rubbish and turn it into your personal treasure. Besides customizing clothing, you could also follow a workshop on how to remix and remake tableware, furniture and blankets. There were skilled craftsmen for practical help and mental support and music and drinks to keep the inspiration coming. Hannah had a great night, below a concise visual report.
We love to customize and to help others discovering the possibilities of mixing and matching with a pair of scissors and some thread, but due to illness and tight schedules, we could not make it this time. Hopefully we can be there for the next issue!
